Trusting God’s Timing and The Will to Follow
Chris Gensheer   -

Jesus gives us enough to go on: either to kill Him or to trust Him.

How do we continue to trust and follow God when we want to do something else? How do we reconcile what we want with what He wants? What we think with what He thinks? His timing with ours?

In John 7:1-31 Jesus challenges us with the reality that there are two kinds of doubters – those who are looking for a reasonable answer to their questions and concerns, and those who are just looking to keep Jesus at a distance. The question before us all is which kind of are we? To Jesus what matters more than what we want in any given moment, is whether or not we want to want the living God. This is the will to do God’s will and follow Jesus that He’s most concerned with.
